The BC Wildfire Service may fight fire with fire on a blaze burning 150 kilometres northwest of Fort Nelson.
If the weather conditions are right, officials will conduct planned ignitions Wednesday afternoon on the Beaver River fire.
The 3000 hectare fire was spotted Sunday and is believed to be lightning-caused.
If the burnoff operations go ahead, officials say heavy smoke will highly visible in the region.
