A lack of nurses is forcing Cariboo Memorial Hospital to suspend maternity services for 5 days.
Maternity services were previously suspended near the end of February due to similar shortages.
Low risk deliveries resumed on April 30th, but staffing numbers remained low.
Now, Interior Health has announced the will be shutting down the maternity section between May 27th and the night of June 3rd.
In the meantime, expectant mothers will need to seek services at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
