A combined effort between UNBC and UBC will bring more opportunities for occupational and physical therapy students in the north.
In total, 3.3 million dollars in provincial funding will help UBC bring their master of physical therapy and master of occupational therapy programs to the north.
20 students will be accepted in to the first intake of the physical therapy program, expected to launch in 2020.
For the occupational therapy program, prospective students will need to wait until 2022, when the first intake of 16 students will be accepted.
Both programs are being made available thanks to a partnership with UNBC, who will host the programs at their Prince George campus.
