Residents of Fort St John and the surrounding area will gather next month to take a stand against violence towards women and children.
Shell Canada is partnering with the City of Fort St John to bring a barbecue and walk to the city in support of the Moose Hide Campaign.
Participants will gather on the corner of 100th Avenue and 100th Street at 11:30 on the morning of June 5th.
They will then take the Moose Campaign pledge to help eradicate violence against women and children, receiving a moose hide pin to symbolize their pledge.
That will be followed by a walk and activities such as a barbecue and traditional drumming, with the walk ending at 1:30.
