A Telkwa-based cannabis operation is one step closer to greening up.
Maple Leaf Green World Ltd. says a Health Canada review of its cultivation and processing license application found no critical concerns.
The company must now provide proof to Health Canada that its fully developed Telkwa site meets all the requirements of cannabis regulations.
Maple Leaf says it’s making good headway to secure capital funding to complete the project.
If all things go according to plan, the company expects the first phase of production to yield 3,500 kilograms of dried marijuana or equivalent.
The facility is expected to create about 20 full time jobs and up to 50 temporary positions.
