Two more Cariboo sawmills have been hit with production curtailments.
Within weeks of Canfor announcing another wave of curtailments, West Fraser has now announced their own.
Both the Chasm and 100 Mile sawmills were hit with the two week temporary reductions.
In a statement released yesterday, West Fraser says the decision was influenced by weak global lumber markets, high log costs, and strained lumber supplies.
Production is expected to be reduced by approximately 20 million board feet due to the temporary curtailment.
