The City of Terrace is cautioning residents to fully extinguish any camp fires.
The reminder comes after the fire department recently responded to a number of small unattended fires throughout the city.
Officials say the current fire danger rating for the City of Terrace is listed as moderate, but add the recent rain isn’t enough to reduce the risk.
Most of the Northwest Fire Centre has a moderate or high fire danger rating with a pocket of extreme fire danger around Telegraph Creek.
