More than 12 hundred British Columbians facing employment barriers are set to receive training and education support from the province.
Residents facing multiple employment obstacles such as immigration, addiction recovery, housing instability, criminal record, and more will benefit from the fresh 10 million dollar annual investment.
Access to skills training would allow residents to acquire job skills, certificates, basic education, and academic upgrades.
In addition, the investment will also fuel supports such as councelling, child care, and employment assistance.
Currently, the province is looking for service providers to deliver skills training and supports.
A posting has been placed on BC Bid outlining further details.
