British Columbia has maintained its place as Canada’s most economically prosperous province, according to StatsCan’s Labour Force Survey for April.
It’s the 21st month in a row in which BC has paced the country with an unemployment rate of just 4.6 percent across the month.
In April, the province added 59 hundred jobs, bringing BC’s year-to-date total to 82 thousand jobs created in 2019.
April saw a number of part-time jobs converted to full-time, with the largest gains being seen in the construction and business administration areas.
