New provincial funding will support mining research in BC in response recent recommendations from their Mining Jobs Task Force.
A 5 million dollar investment in Geoscience BC will fund the non-profit research organization for one year.
Geoscience BC is dedicated to generating and distributing public earth science research regarding BC’s mineral, energy, and water resources.
By providing the funding, BC is supporting job creation, investment attraction, and economic growth.
Earlier this year the Mining Jobs Task Force issued 25 recommendations to boost BC’s mining sector.
