Government immunization efforts have resulted in nearly double the amount of measles vaccinations afministered this April compared to last.
On April 1st, the Ministry of Health launched their measles catch-up program.
With a focus on under-immunized or unimmunized students, the Ministry has reported 3,807 vaccinations since.
So far, the north is one of only two health regions in BC to avoid the recent measles outbreak.
29 cases of measles have been confirmed in BC since the beginning of 2019.
