This week, Prince Rupert will be playing host to the second annual North Coast Whale Festival.
Put on by the North Coast Ecology Centre Society and their partners, the event aims to teach residents about, and celebrate the local marine environment.
Throughout the week, residents and visitors will be able to participate in a city-wide scavenger hunt for a chance at great prizes.
This year, Strawberry Isle Marine Research has supplied a full-size killer whale skeleton, which local students will assemble on Thursday and Friday as part of the Build-a-Whale program.
Saturday will feature a slew of interactive activities, displays, crafts, and more at the North Coast Convention Centre starting at 10:00.
Later that night, the Whale Festival Party fundraiser will take place at the Wheelhouse Brewing Company, where you can also purchase tickets.
