Quesnel City Council gave first, second, and third readings to their 5 Year Financial Plan Bylaw last week.
Under the plan, the City will see: a 2 percent annual inflation rate, 5 percent growth in water utility fees with 2 percent for sewer fees, a 100 thousand dollar increase in city equipment replacement funds, the fully grant-funded continuation of their Forestry Initiatives Program, and a continued Memorandum of Understanding with the Regional District.
In addition, 900 thousand dollars in capital carryover funds have been added to their 21.6 million dollar capital budget.
