More than 100 organizations across the country will receive funding to honour missing and murdered Indigenous women in their communities.
On Friday, the National Inquiry for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls congratulated the organizations, which will host community events to celebrate the upcoming release of their final report.
Each of the successful applicants will host events and gatherings to remember those lost, and to further the healing of loved ones.
A full list of successful applicants will be released once they have all been notified.
On June 3rd, the Inquiry is set to release their final report.
