The B.C. Conservation Officer Service says they were tipped off by a call to their hotline in 2016 about someone trying to bait wolves with a barbed hook near Halfway River.
BCCOS says without the call, they wouldn’t have been able to prosecute the poacher.
The caller received a $300 reward from the BC Wildlife Federation.
