A 46-year-old Quesnel man has been identified as the worker killed in a logging accident on Northern Vancouver Island.
The United Steelworkers says Dylan Montjoy, a faller employed by Lemare Lake Logging, was fatally injured April 28 while working near Nahwitti River.
USW Local 1-1937 President Brian Butler say their deepest sympathies go out to Dylan’s wife Carmen, their six children, and his their extended family and friends.
Butler says the union is working to ensure Employee Family Assistance Program counselling services are made available to those impacted.
RCMP have completed their review of the incident and WorkSafe BC continues to investigate.
