Williams Lake residents may see some more smoke and flames over the next four weeks.
The BC Wildfire service has extended pile burning of wood debris to reduce the wildfire risks in the region.
Crews began lighting the piles March 25 and will continue until May 31 depending weather and site conditions.
Ongoing fuel management by Cariboo Fire Centre crews will take place north of the Fox Mountain subdivision and south of the Williams Lake Regional Airport.
