Three hold-over fires associated with last year’s Alkali Lake fire near Telegraph Creek are still showing heat.
BC Wildfire Service Information Officer Carolyn Bartos says they’ve dealt with 8 hold-over fires on the Alkali Lake fire permeter.
Bartos says that all of the fires are considered under control and that they currently have nine crew members in Dease Lake watching over the fires.
Areas still showing heat are located 4 kms south of Telegraph Creek, and 20 kms and 41 kms northeast of Telegraph Creek.
