Two Terrace groups want the City to pitch in to help keep the downtown core clean.
The Greater Terrace Beautification Society and the Terrace Downtown Improvement Area Society want to see enhanced street sweeping and lids placed on downtown garbage cans.
The societies say the lack of lids contributes to what they say is a significant litter problem in downtown Terrace and that seasonal street sweeping by machines should be supported by hand cleaning with rakes and leaf blowers.
The groups will address Terrace City Council’s Committee of the Whole meeting Monday, April 29.
