An apparent judgement error has landed a Prince George cyclist in hospital.
Police were called out to the intersection of Winnipeg Street and Carney Street yesterday evening for reports of a collision.
When they arrived on scene, they a critically injured 23 year-old male cyclist and had him transported to hospital.
Officers believe the driver of the pick-up had proceeded through a fresh green light while the cyclist failed to stop for his new red.
He then collided with the truck coming through the intersection.
Police are continuing to investigate but would like to remind cyclists that they too must obey traffic control devices.
