A fire at the Stuart Nechako Manor in Vanderhoof has displaced 36 residents at the Northern Health facility.
Early yesterday morning fire crews responded to a blaze at the extended care facility, resulting in its evacuation.
Resulting damage from both the fire and the building’s sprinkler system is affecting as many as 36 residents.
Those ousted by the emergency were temporarily transfered to St John’s Hospital, and the unaffected Aspen House section of the Manor.
Nobody was injured as a result of the fire and an investigation in to its cause is currently on-going.
