Following recommendations made by their Small Business Task Force, the province will be expanding the Export Navigator Initiative.
Building on the success of the pilot program, the expansions will add specific supports for businesses owned by Indigenous peoples, women, and youth.
There will now be 10 export advisors servicing the province’s 6 economic development regions, as opposed to the previous six.
Through the Initiative, the province aims to better connect small and rural businesses with personalized export services.
In total, the province has committed 2 million dollars to the program over the next 2 years, with the Federal government earmarking 2.25 million over 3 years for the program.
