Kitimat is hoping for the support of the City of Terrace in their quest to host a major industrial conference.
Kitimat’s Chamber of Commerce is pairing with the Kitimat Economic Development Association to apply to host Minerals North in 2021.
Minerals North is an annual conference and trade show which highlights innovation and growth in the mining and resource industries.
Since regional support is a key factor in hosting the event, a letter has been sent to Terrace Council requesting support.
This year’s edition of the event will take place in Chetwynd in May, where the 2021 host will be announced.
