RCMP are investigating a homicide in the community of Kitkatla, southwest of Prince Rupert.
A report of a sudden death was called in to the Prince Rupert RCMP Monday night, shortly after 8 p.m.
Officers found a 34 year-old man with life threatening injuries. A BC Ambulance Service helicopter was dispatched from Prince Rupert, but the man died of his injuries.
Police questioned a person of interest located at the scene.
The North District Major Crime Unit says the investigation is in its early stages, but says there is no information to suggest the public is at further risk.
