According to Transportation Minister Claire Trevena, an on-going public consultation in to active transportation has peaked public interest.
Since launching the online consultation at the beginning of last month, the province has received over 900 comments.
Active transportation refers to any human-driven form of travel, such as walking, biking, and more.
In an effort to determine how to make active transportation more appealing, the government launched the consultation.
Trevena says public feedback will play a vital role in making active transportation safer, more affordable, and more accessible.
