With the IMAGINE Grants application deadline fast approaching, Northern Health is highlighting a success story in Prince Rupert.
Last spring, the Discovery Childcare Centre in Prince Rupert was approved for 5 thousand dollars from the grant program.
That funding went towards the installation of a rubberized play surface for their outdoor playground.
In the years prior to applying for the funding, the Centre had fundraised nearly 40 thousand dollars for the purchase and installation of new playground equipment.
Now, the playground serves as a safe place for children in the community to get the outdoor exercise needed to keep them healthy.
This cycle’s deadline for applications is March 31st.
