Spring-like weather has arrived, but winter leftovers on the roads are causing a dust-up in some northern B.C. communities.
The environment ministry and Northern Health have issued road dust advisories for Burns Lake, Quesnel, and Prince George because of high concentrations of coarse particulate matter.
Those with underlying medical conditions should postpone strenuous exercise until conditions improve.
Dust levels tend to be the highest around busy roads and industry.
Dusty conditions are expected to hang around until there’s some rain, snow, or dust suppression work.
A list of current advisories can be found here.
