Williams Lake will play host to 3 days of community events after being approved for provincial gang reduction funding.
In order to promote Gang Reduction through Informed Practice, or GRIP, the Williams Lake RCMP detachment is running a series of community events between April 15th and 17th.
Featured alongside these events will be a number of educational training opportunities, as well as a number of guest speakers.
Williams Lake Community Safety Manager Dave Dickson says the events and speakers can go a long way towards helping youth make positive choices.
Williams Lake is among a number of communities splitting more than 1 million dollars in investments in to gang crime reduction announced last week.
