Federal Natural Resources Minister Amarjeet Sohi says his team has met with more than 100 of the 117 Indigenous communities impacted by the Trans Mountain Pipeline expansion.
Sohi says that puts the consultations on schedule to conclude prior to the May deadline.
When the Federal Court of Appeal overturned their approval of the expansion last year, they ordered the government to redo their flawed First Nations consultation process.
Last month, the National Energy Board restated their approval for the project, while issuing a number of recommendations and areas that must be improved moving forward.
