Police in Fort St John are on the lookout for a stolen vehicle.
At roughly 8:30 Saturday morning, a resident started up their white 4-door Chevy Cavalier to warm up in the Totem Mall parking lot.
When the owner returned, he found the car missing.
RCMP are reminding residents never to leave their vehicles unattended while running in public areas.
If you must warm up your car before entering, police suggest you lock the doors to deter any would-be thieves.
Police are also reminding residents that leaving a parked vehicle unlocked can incur a fine of 81 dollars.
