Patients from as far away as Prince George are feeling the impacts of a new MRI machine in Terrace.
With the addition of the Terrace machine, Northern Health says that both wait times, and travel distance to receive care have dramatically decreased.
According to Diagnostic Imaging Manager Marina Downs, this has led to happier patients and a morale increase among technologists.
Thanks to the new machines in Terrace and Fort St John, as well as an upgrade in Prince George, Northern Health is expecting to perform 70 percent more MRIs this year compared to last.
