Former Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould gave an emotional testimony infront of government today.
Wilson-Raybould’s testimony was regarding pressure she faced from the Prime Minister’s Office to issue a deferred prosecution agreement in the SNC-Lavalin case.
Wilson-Raybould was moved to Minister of Veteran Affairs in January, a move that was heavily rumoured to be related to her oppostion to the DPA.
She subsequently stepped down from that role earlier this month.
During the testimony, the former Attorney General said she received pressure from as many as 11 other officials.
According to Wilson-Raybould, those discussions centred around the impacts on jobs and the upcoming federal election.
