Fraser Lake is teaming up with a number of area First Nations to build a pipeline work camp of their own.
Construction on the Coastal GasLink pipeline which will fuel the 40 billion dollar LNG project in Kitimat is planned for the area next fall.
Proposed for an area 6 kms east of the Village of Fraser Lake, the camp would house as many as 11 hundred workers.
It’s a show of faith for a CGL project that continues to find itself locked in a dispute with the Wet’suwet’en First Nation over the legalities of the pipeline.
