Kitsumkalum is trying to count the number cats in the community.
The First Nation is conducting a survey to find out how many un-spayed/un-neutered cats live in homes or are free-roaming.
Kitsumkalum is partnering with Northern Animal Rescue Alliance in Terrace on a grant application for a free spay/neuter clinic of owned and free-roaming feral or tame adult cats and kittens.
Part of the application process requires an estimate of the cat population in the community.
The survey is can be completed at the Kitsumkalum website with a deadline of March 10th.
