Quesnel City Council will hear more about the proposed Lhtako Dene Indigenous Cultural Centre project next week.
Project architect Alfred Waugh will present the final concept designs for the development situated next the Fraser River along Front Street.
Plans for the building include an exhibit space, a cultural centre foyer, as well as a 250 seat theatre in the round.
The project was submitted by the Lhtako Dene Nation for funding under the Invest in Canada Infrastructure grant.
The City of Quesnel says the development will have historical significance and represents a further step towards reconciliation.
The presentation is scheduled for council February 19th.
