RCMP in the Peace River Regional District are asking drivers to slow down and drive according to the weather conditions.
With winter deciding to pile on the Region the past few days, RCMP are saying they’ve seen an increase in avoidable motor vehicle collisions.
According to officers in Fort St John, they have had to clear the same high-use intersections multiple times daily due to crashes.
Police are reminding residents that the poor conditions are not an excuse, and that drivers can still be fined up to 167 dollars under the Motor Vehicle Act for failure to adhere to speed relative conditions.
