Roughly half the money spent on mining exploration in BC is spent in the northwest.
According to statistics from the Association for Mineral Exploration’s annual roundup, that puts the 2018 total at 164 million.
That’s a significant lift over the 99 million allocated to the northwest the year before.
Prior to the event, Premier John Horgan announced plans to make both the mining flow-through incentive and the mining exploration tax credits permanent.
More than 65 hundred participants were on hand for the 4 day conference, held in Vancouver last week.
