Highway 16 could remain closed in both directions until noon Tuesday after a vehicle fire east of Burns Lake.
Burns Lake Fire Rescue says a transport truck was fully engulfed in flames when crews got to the scene west of Priestly Hill.
Officials say the driver got out unharmed.
RCMP E Division Traffic Services says the loaded lumber truck caught fire near the Babine Forest Products entrance along Highway 16.
The call came in at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. The road remains closed in both directions with no detour available.
