Highway 16 has re-opened to single-lane alternating traffic east of Burns Lake.
The route was shut down shortly after midnight Tuesday when a loaded lumber truck caught fire near the Babine Forest Products entrance.
Burns Lake Fire Rescue says a transport truck was fully engulfed in flames when crews got to the scene, but the driver got out unharmed.
