BC Liberal Leader Andrew Wilkinson has announced a plan which he says could prevent scandals like the one currently facing BC legislature.
Wilkinson’s 20 point plan would tighten the kind of legislature spending highlighted in Speaker Darryl Plecas’s report.
Some features in Wilkinson’s plan include: requiring approval for foreign trips 6 weeks in advance, and requiring legislative officers to post expenses online.
Wilkinson announced the plan just one day after his party lost a key Nanaimo byelection which could’ve forced a provincial election.
