Today will wrap up the first ever First Responders Conference held in BC.
More than 350 first responders and leaders have been present over the last 2 days for more than 34 speakers and panelists at the conference.
Discussion topics focused on the mental health of first responders, who are thrown in to a disproportionate amount of stressful and traumatic experiences on a near-daily basis.
As such, speakers focused on areas like tackling stigmas, recognizing symptoms of operational stress, and peer-support strategies.
The inaugural 2 day conference was held in Vancouver yesterday and today.
