Terrace RCMP investigated 2,143 files during the fourth quarter of 2018, 14 percent more than the same quarter of 2017.
Property offenses went from 253 to 370, and liquor act offenses from 132 to 214, representing the biggest jumps compared to last year.
All-in-all RCMP submitted 141 reports recommending charges to Crown Counsel during the quarter.
For 2018 as a whole, RCMP opened 12,440 files, 7 percent more than in 2017.
