Mayor Bob Simpson says that Quesnel will continue their aggressive and strategic grant acquisition strategy in to 2019.
Over the past 4 years, according to Simpson, Quesnel has seen a record number of projects funded through both provincial and federal grants.
Some of these projects include: a new watermain, the City’s rebranding, the community market program, West Quesnel Land Stability project, and the Foresty Think Tank process.
Simpson says they’ve managed these grant approvals by having plans which address current priorities, keeping the needed cash reserves, and by maintaining flexibility and patience when dealing with grant agencies.
In a statement sent out today, the Mayor said the City will continue to pursue this grant funding, as well as continue to be involved in the applications of other local organizations.
