A youth has been flown from Fort St John to Vancouver to treat injuries sustained when they were struck by a vehicle.
At approximately 7:45 yesterday morning, police were called to the area near 86th Street and 85th Avenue.
When they arrived, they found a youth suffering from serious, but non-life threatening injuries and had him taken to hospital by EHS.
Later, they youth was flown to Vancouver for further medical attention.
Reports from the scene say they youth was crossing 86th Street when the white 2007 Silverado struck him.
The driver remained on scene and was cooperative with police.
