Burns Lake is receiving improved access to fresh fruits and vegetables thanks to their Community Garden.
In the spring of last year, the Burns Lake Community Garden Society applied for IMAGINE Grant funding to create the garden.
Now the garden, completed late in the summer, offers an assortment of fruit trees, local produce, and even Indigenous medicinal plants.
On top of the plants, the Garden has already played host to a few community events and workshops, something it intends to keep going in its second year.
