People across B.C. are coming together to support the family of a missing Hazelton woman.

Circle held at UVic First People’s House
Two recent gatherings were held in Victoria as relatives and friends continue to search for 50-year-old
Cindy Martin.
Martin disappeared from Hazelton December 23rd. The vehicle she was driving was found near the Hagwilget Bridge, but search efforts have, so far, failed to find her.

Tobacco ties (prayers) at Camosun College
Supporters held a ceremonies at the University of Victoria Friday and Camosun College Monday.
Those gathered held a moment of silence, offered tobacco ties (prayers) for Cindy’s family, and collected donations to help out with the search efforts.
Throughout the search, Faye Martin says she is realizing what an impact her sister has made on the local community and Vancouver, where she worked in the social services sector.
Martin says volunteer search efforts have expanded toward Kispiox, but plans are in the works to re-focus on the canyon and river around the Hagwilget Bridge.
