Fort Fraser will be receiving support for economic and employment diversification by way of a 153 thousand dollar grant from BC’s Rural Dividends Fund.
Both the Corporation of the Village of Fort Fraser and the Nadleh Whut’en First Nation will split the funding among two projects.
A staffed referrals office to help manage economic development opportunities will be established by the Nadleh Whut’en First Nation thanks to 89 thousand in funding.
And the Village of Fort Fraser will spend the rest of the funding on environmental and engineering reviews related to adding an additional cell at the Wastewater Lagoon.
