One person is dead after a crash along Highway 16 east of Vanderhoof Monday night.
RCMP say an east-bound SUV crossed the centre line and collided head-on with a west-bound tanker truck and two other vehicles behind the tanker
The female driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene while the occupants in the other vehicles suffered minor injuries.
Police say there was no spill from the tanker.
Road conditions at the time of the crash were slippery and foggy with the temperature below zero.
Prince George Regional Traffic Services, the BC Coroners Service, Commercial Vehicle Safety Enforcement branch, and the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
The highway was closed until about 5 a.m. Tuesday.
