BC’s unemployment rate is the lowest in Canada for the 16th month in a row.
Overall, Canada’s unemployment is the lowest it’s been since the data started being compiled in 1976, with BC pacing all provinces at 4.4 percent.
Employment in BC as a whole grew by 1.8 percent in 2018, with just under 44 thousand full time jobs being added across the year.
Unemployment dropped by a total of 2.9 percent in the province in 2018.
