Input is being sought by the BC Wildlife Health Program in to how best to assess the effects of winter ticks on moose populations in the province.
Winter tick infestations are usually observed between the months of January and April, leading to hair loss, weight loss, and often erratic behaviour.
In order to monitor these effects, the Program is asking for wildlife professionals, enthusiasts, and the general public too monitor and report fur loss on the animals.
If you wish to participate, you can follow this link to the survey.
